SkyRC iMAX B6 V2 Charger 60W 12V

SkyRC revisits the Imax B6, its great classic appreciated by model makers, by offering the Imax B6 V2, with increased power.
Do you know what "iMax" stands forv? When SkyRC launched its first charger in 2006, the SkyRC's founder was called Max ! He wanted to create a simple, functional and iconic charger in the model building industry.
With this latest evolution, SkyRC ditched some infrequently used features and added more useful ones, such as an adjustable DC output, floating charge for lead-acid batteries, and a dedicated DJI battery mode for users of drones.

The B6 V2 is a charger supplied with direct current (max 18 Volts), high performance, controlled by microprocessor, which ensures the charge, the discharge, the direct current supply, with the management of the main batteries used on the scale models. Versatile for most types of batteries, the charger is equipped with algorithms dedicated to the most common battery chemistries: LiPo, Li-Ion, LiHV, LiFe, NiMH, NiCD, and Pb.

This charger offers a power of 60 watts and can deliver a current of up to 6A. In addition, it supports batteries from Mavic and Inspire from DJI with a current of up to 4A.

Since it is more intuitive to indicate current and power as a percentage rather than as a raw value, this charger has an icon that visually indicates the amount of charge and displays the percentage of charge and discharge. A function appreciated by novice model makers.

Its microcontroller is fast, powerful and has a strong anti-interference capacity. The data processing capabilities of the 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor have increased by 20 times.

Compared to the B6 charger, this V2 version offers 20% more power, making the charging process more efficient.

The B6 V2 charger incorporates a very practical DC power supply function, delivering a maximum of 60W with an adjustable voltage range of 5 to 26 Volts and with a current of 1 to 6A. With this charger, model builders have a handy tool for powering devices on the stands or at the flying field, such as a tire heater, a stand light, a fuel pump, a soldering iron, etc.

Of interest to Mavic and Inspire DJI drone pilots, the SkyRC B6 V2 can charge Mavic and Inspire batteries with current up to 4A.

Equipped with "AGM" and "Cold Charge" modes, the SkyRC B6 V2 can charge AGM type batteries as well as lead acid batteries in very cold temperatures (below 0°c external temp).

The internal chemical reaction causes the batteries to heat up. If the temperature threshold is reached, the charging process may stop automatically. This function is available by connecting an optional temperature probe, not supplied and therefore to be purchased separately (SKY600040-01).
